Henry Bins has a condition called Henry Bins. It was obviously named after him, and the reader quickly buys into the premiss that it allows him to be awake one hour each day-between 3:00 a.m. And 4:00 a.m.. Henry lives an entire life in one hour a day. He works, socializes and solves mysteries in this hour. Somehow it seems reasonable. Oh, and he also is good friends with the President of the United States.
In this book he finds out that his mother, who left him with his dad when he was six, was found murdered. With the help of his dad, Lassie (his cat), Murdock (his dad's dog), Ingrid (his girlfriend), and oh yes, the President, he goes about solving the mystery and saving the world.
The book is short and simply written. The plot is silly and the conversations with Lassie even sillier, BUT I really did enjoy both books. Watching Henry figure out how to fit everything into sixty minutes each day made me really appreciate my days, and I am glad he can be a part of them every now and again.
If you haven't read 3:00 a.m. yet, start with that one, and then read this newest one. Definitely a fun read for a lazy afternoon!
