Siegel does a good job bringing San Francisco to life here, and I love reading books that make the city part of the story. I want to eat in the restaurants that the characters eat in and walk down the streets where the excitement occurs. I must not be the only one who visualizes the character's environs. When we visited Rome several years ago, the cab driver spent so much time pointing out places visited by Robert Langdon, Dan Brown's protagonist in Angels and Demons, that he barely had time to point out the Roman Forum.
I have been reading Siegel since the first book in this series, Special Circumstances, and always love revisiting his main and supporting characters. While this isn't the strongest of the series, it was still fun to read. It is a light read even though the subject matter is far from light, and I believe Amazon is still selling it at a good discount.
Relax and Enjoy,
