Celeste, Madeline and Jane all have very different stories to tell, but there is also a commonality. Their children are in the same kindergarten class, and any mother knows that can build a solid friendship among mothers who feel they are overwhelmed in this phase of their lives. They each have definite issues, though some are more serious than others, and they try to be there for each other. There are ex-husbands and second wives, single motherhood, abuse and children with issues that can seem overwhelming. These women need support and find it in each other.
I love reading books that describe places I have never been. My dislike of flying makes this as close to Australia as I am likely to get, and it was fun visiting Moriarty's part of the world. It was also interesting knowing there will be a death from the beginning and trying to figure out the who, what, and why as I became involved in their lives.
I recommend this as a book that you will enjoy while reading and think about when the last page is finished.
