All Arden discovers when searching for the noise is a window covering that now lay on the floor. Unfortunately, her handsome next door neighbor is standing on his front step waiting for his dog to finish sniffing around, and he catches a glimpse of her in all of her green faced glory. She returns to bed, but when she wakes in the morning she remembers a handsome olive skinned man with gorgeous green eyes standing over her bed. So begins her "haunting" experience.
Her ghost turns out to be a 1940's movie star who might...or might not...have been a murderer. Arden realizes she must get rid of this unwanted roommate, but first she has to find out the truth behind his story. Like all cozy mysteries, the fun is in the search for answers, and Ms. Selfman keeps the reader chuckling as Arden weaves her way through this ghostly adventure.
The main character is likable, the plot is predictable and the mystery slowly unfolds in a satisfying conclusion. Arden's friends and acquaintances are helpful and funny, and Haunt Flashes definitely lives up to cozy mystery expectations.
