I am giving this novel 3.5 stars based simply on my personal preference for a Happy Ever After ending in a series such as this. It in no way reflects poorly on the story or writing itself.
I began this novel with high hopes for the man. Characters Sebastian and Mia to finally find themselves together by the conclusion of the novel and it disappointed me that despite everything they do they cannot find their way back together. Though each finds friendship and companionship elsewhere any reader of the first book in the series is going to root for these characters to get back together.
As with book one I find myself tripping over the author's constant changing of verb tense not only in the middle of paragraphs but mid sentence as well.
The story is emotional and deep and unfortunately not satisfying for readers of traditional romance but there is hope for the characters, I'm just not sure how long I'd be willing to wait.
