As a reviewer, I am always looking for an author to capture me. After reading Drop By Drop, my only complaint is that Raffel only wrote two previous books. All three of his books captivated me on page one and left me wanting more at the end. His characters are people I would like to invite to dinner, and his plots are interesting and easy to follow. In Drop By Drop we are drawn in to Sam Rockman's life immediately. He wants revenge for a personal tragedy and accepts an offer to return to Washington D,C. And work for the Senate Intelligence Committee. With the help of a Kentucky Senator and his wife's former rabbi, he tries to exact vengeance while saving the country from more terrorism. With poison, secret documents and nuclear material thrown into the mix, it is definitely difficult to put this book down!

I realized at a very young age that books could take me on journeys to places I might never otherwise see and lead me through adventures that put Alice's looking glass to shame.  I still get a certain sense of security if I have a big stack of books by my bed. Actually, now it is my iPad mini with hundreds of books to comfort me and a light that makes reading under the covers so much easier.

I became a book reviewer years ago as a way to bring people into my world of words, and I haunted bookstores whenever I had a spare moment. I met Madeline in Brentano's one day as she tried to convince me to buy half of the books in the mystery section. That was the beginning of MADDERLY REVIEW. She sold the books and I traveled from condominium to library sharing reviews with audiences wanting to be entertained. As time passed, we both became "pen pals" with some of the authors we enjoyed reading and found them as interesting as their books. I started posting reviews on various sights and loved turning people on to the authors I discovered.

The time has come to share this experience with all of you bibliophiles out there. I am inviting you to share your reviews with the reading world on my interactive site. Read a book...write a review...send it to me at [email protected].   I will post it for you, and you can become a Madderly book reviewer. The joy of sharing books is almost as thrilling as the joy of reading books, and I invite you all to join in the fun.
